A family with three Belgian Shepherds is behind this shop
Three Belgian Shepherds share our home, and the whole family trains with them in IGP (formerly IPO - a dog sport for working breeds that combines tracking, obedience and protection work) and competes at trials. Being on the training field every week means this gear is known from our own practice - what genuinely works, and what's a waste of money.
Legion of Dogs is a family effort - me, Kamila, and my family. Behind every order from this site stand the same three dogs and the same weekends on the training field.
How this shop came about
For years, gear for our dogs came from wherever it could be found - sometimes Germany, sometimes the Czech Republic, sometimes Polish middlemen. The same three things were always missing:
- Advice before you buy. A proper conversation about which prong collar size fits a dog with a 55 cm neck, whether a 650 g dumbbell isn't too heavy for a one-year-old dog, or whether a particular food will suit a puppy.
- Honest prices - the kind we'd want to pay at the manufacturer ourselves.
- Short turnaround. When training is in three days, a week's wait is too long.
At some point it clicked: if we already know what we're looking for and understand this gear from the practical side, why not do it our own way? That's how Legion of Dogs began.
What you'll find with us
You won't find everything that can be bought for a dog here. The range is built only on what we use ourselves or what friends from the club rely on. The core brands:
- Herman Sprenger - a German manufacturer with over 150 years of history. Anyone who has held one of their prong collars or a Neck-Tech collar knows why it has been the standard in dog sport for years.
- Raddog - a Czech brand behind our bite tugs, dumbbells and other training gear.
- Pala Pet Foods - the food our own dogs eat.
- Euro Joe, Top Matic, Chopo, European Pet Pharmacy - selected products that round out the range.
If something isn't here, either it hasn't been added yet, or it's a deliberate call not to recommend it.
