Chopo physiological muzzles are lightweight basket muzzles from a Czech manufacturer, designed for specific breeds. The cage is galvanised wire in a rubber-plastic coating, so the snout never touches bare metal, and the open basket leaves room for panting. Your dog can pant, drink and take treats, so you do not have to cut a walk short in the heat or give up rewards in training.
The models carry breed names, from Spitz and Dachshund to Great Dane, but the breed is only a starting point. Fit is decided by the chamber dimensions, which is why every muzzle lists the inner length, width and height. The sizes "Male", "Female" and "Medium" are the manufacturer's convention, not your dog's sex: "Female" is usually the smaller variant, but the numbers decide, not the name.
How to choose a Chopo muzzle size
Measure your dog's snout in three places: length from the eye line to the tip of the nose, width at the widest point and height with the mouth closed. Leather or Biothane straps
The classic version has natural leather straps and felt padding. Some models also come in a Biothane version: turquoise Biothane straps and neoprene padding instead of felt, on the same cage. The German Shepherd model also has a sport version.
