Collection: Bite wedges

A bite wedge is light, handy gear for teaching the grip in protection sport - simpler to handle than a full sleeve, which is why it's reached for at an early training stage and with young dogs. You hold it in your hand or on your forearm, and the dog learns a confident, calm hold on it before moving on to the sleeve.

Our range carries Euro Joe wedges (Original in jute and nylcot, and Quick Play for quick run-ins) and Raddog (the Puppy 1 and 2 models for the youngest dogs, a sheepskin version, a three-handle version and the padded Vegas). From soft covers for beginners to harder ones for advanced work.

The fit goes by material and hardness - a young dog starts on a soft wedge, moves to a harder one over time, and eventually to a sleeve. If you're putting protection gear together for the first time, it's worth starting with a chat.

Not sure which wedge is a good start for your dog? Write to us - we'll advise.
