Herman Sprenger prong collar link - chrome-plated steel

A chrome-plated spare link for the Herman Sprenger prong collar. It comes in handy when you want to lengthen or shorten the collar precisely - in the ULTRA-PLUS system links are added in pairs, so it's worth keeping a spare.

How to choose the size

The link size has to match the wire thickness of your prong collar, or the parts won't join. The 4 cm / 3.2 mm link fits the standard models, 4 cm / 3 mm fits collars with a 3 mm wire, and 3 cm / 2.25 mm fits the mini version. The 3 cm / 3 mm option is a shorter, reinforced link for a 3 mm wire - Sprenger recommends it as a stronger choice for active dogs.

Material

Chrome-plated steel has a smooth, bright surface and is cheaper than stainless steel. Unlike stainless steel, though, it's less resistant to moisture and corrosion - after contact with water it's best dried and kept somewhere dry.
