The Raddog rubber ball on a string is a classic motivational toy used in obedience and protection training - you throw it, catch it on the bounce, and use it as a reward for a correctly performed exercise. Raddog makes sporting equipment in the Czech Republic for working dogs.
Choose the hardness to match the toy's role
The soft version is hollow inside - lighter, gives a little under pressure and sits well in the mouth. It works as a reward for a dog that holds it for a moment after delivery, or for teaching a gentle retrieve grip.
The hard version is solid inside - heavier, more durable under intense retrieving and better at taking strong bites. A choice for dogs with a powerful grip.
String or loop
A string gives more throwing range and freedom of handling - the traditional pick for dynamic play. A loop stays on the handler's wrist, so the ball won't get away after the first throw and is right there when you need an instant reward.
Two sizes
6 cm suits smaller dogs or precise grips. 7 cm is for larger dogs, or when you want the ball easier to catch.
