Herman Sprenger jute bite tug - with two handles

The Herman Sprenger jute bite tug - a simple, strong tug with two handles from a German maker of sport equipment with more than 150 years of history.

Construction

A strong, solid surface with quality filling - that is what makes this tug so durable. Two webbing handles of 16 cm each give a secure two-handed grip. Material: jute, colour beige and blue.

What it works for

A classic tug toy - great for grip training, motivating your dog with play as a reward and building an enjoyable "fight together" with the handler. It also works for retrieve work (dummy work) - thanks to its size and weight, the dog can pick it up comfortably and bring it back.

Choosing the size

S (31 × 7 cm) - a good choice for younger dogs, smaller breeds or dogs just starting to work with a bite tug.
M (31 × 8.5 cm) - the all-round size for most adult dogs of medium and large breeds.
L (38 × 10 cm) - the largest, for big adult dogs with a strong, confident grip.

Jute - why this material

Jute is a classic for sport bite tugs - a natural fibre, soft to the touch but very resistant to stretching. Over time its surface frays - that is normal and does not affect how it works.
