Herman Sprenger silicone prong tip caps - for 2.25 mm wire

A set of 30 caps that you fit onto the prong tips of a Sprenger prong collar. An original part from the manufacturer, made for prong collars with 2.25 mm wire, i.e. the mini version. Herman Sprenger is a German manufacturer with more than 150 years of tradition, and its equipment is the standard in professional dog training around the world.

What they do

Each cap covers the tip of a single link, so the prong does not touch the dog's skin directly. A set of 30 is enough for a whole prong collar of standard length.

Matching the wire thickness

The caps are tied to the wire thickness: these fit 2.25 mm prong collars only. For prong collars with 3.2 mm wire we have a separate version. If you are not sure which wire your prong collar has, measure the thickness of a link or check the product name on your receipt.

How to use

Push the caps onto the prongs one by one. Before every training session, check that none has gone missing: keep the set complete, because a single uncovered prong works differently from the others. Replace worn caps with new ones.

For on-leash work only

A prong collar, also with caps, is meant for on-leash work during active training. It should not be used during free running, transport or without supervision.
