Top Matic Fun Ball magnetic ball with string

Fun-Ball is a Top Matic magnetic ball, 6.8 cm in diameter, with a magnet embedded inside and a string for moving it about. Top Matic is a German manufacturer of a magnetic reward system in which the toy sticks to a clip worn on your clothing, so it is always at hand.

How the magnetic reward system works

You attach the ball to a Power Clip, which you wear wherever suits you: on a vest, a T-shirt or trousers. You do not have to hold it in your hand or dig it out of a pocket. You reward your dog a split second after the command, and it is exactly this immediacy that keeps the dog focused on you. You can have several clips in different places, under your jacket too.

The string for moving the ball

The string lets you set the ball in motion, move it along the ground and give it to your dog in a tug. You can replace it when it wears through, without replacing the whole ball.

Orange version - for a strong grip

The orange version is the hardest in the whole Fun-Ball range and is meant for adult dogs with a strong grip. The manufacturer also makes softer versions: the blue SOFT (gentler, stiffens less in frost), smaller mini variants and a pink one for puppies.

A reward, not a toy to leave lying around

The manufacturer points out that this is equipment for rewarding in training, not a chew toy for unsupervised play or for long tugging sessions. Take the ball away after the session so it keeps its value as a reward and lasts longer.

Strong magnet

The magnets in the Top Matic system are very strong. The manufacturer advises keeping them away from payment cards, drives, watches and pacemakers, and storing them out of the reach of children.
