Raddog Junior training bite sleeve - ring-grade fabric

The Junior is the first bite sleeve for a dog that has so far bitten wedges and tugs. It is soft and flexible, so moving from a wedge to a sleeve is not a sudden change for the dog.

For a dog just moving on to the sleeve

The manufacturer designed the Junior for complete beginner dogs - ones that have previously worked on bite wedges. The frame and wedge of the sleeve are very soft and springy, so the dog grips the material much as it gripped the wedge before, rather than a hard, stiff target.

You slip it as a reward

The design lets you take the sleeve off your arm and give it to the dog for a completed exercise. The dog picks it up and carries it easily, so the sleeve plays the same role as a tug: it is a reward, not just a target to bite. This builds confidence and the desire to work.

Ring-grade fabric

Nylcot is the same fabric large bite tugs and training bite sleeves are sewn from. It stands up to intensive biting, keeps its shape well and dries quickly after work on wet grass.

Not just for protection

The Junior also works as a motivational aid in obedience - as a reward for a send-away, a retrieve or heelwork, when you want to reward your dog with something bigger than a ball.
