A tracking marker in a metal version: a stainless steel plate with a cut-out Rottweiler silhouette, welded to a rod that you push into the ground.
What the marker is for
In tracking, the dog picks up a track laid earlier in the field and leads the handler along it. The marker goes into the ground at the starting point, so you know exactly where the track begins and can calmly bring your dog in to take the scent. The start of the track is marked the same way at trials and competitions.
Steel instead of a flag
A metal marker does not fade in the sun, fray or soak up water like fabric. Stainless steel does not rust, so the marker can stay in your bag after a wet session and last for many seasons.
Cut-out silhouette
The Rottweiler silhouette is cut out of the plate, not printed on, so it will not wear off with use. The marker looks like a piece of equipment, not a plastic gadget - and it looks good in training photos too.
